Barclays offer two mobile insurance packages, Tech Pack and Tech Pack Lite. You  can purchase either as an add-on with the current account that you have with them.

What phone insurance packages do Barclays offer?

Tech Pack and Tech Pack Lite are available if you have a current account with Barclays. Tech Pack Lite provides accidental damage and breakdown cover for up to two devices each purchased for £1,500 or less. Whereas Tech Pack covers up to 4 mobile phones and an unlimited number of gadgets, each purchased for £1,500 or less.

Is Barclays Tech Pack worth it?

To be able to have Barclays Tech Pack covering your gadgets, you need to have an eligible current account.

If you close your account, then your policy will be automatically cancelled as well. If you're looking for the flexibility of an independent policy that you could cancel at anytime, you might want to consider other options in the market. It's always worth checking the policy and the overall fee you may be paying for the account maintenance.

How much does Barclays Tech Pack cost?

You can purchase the Tech Pack Lite cover for £9 per month and the Tech Pack cover for £14.50 per month. As stated above, the policies can cover up to mobile phones and/or gadgets, each purchased for £1500 or less. Some accounts offer you a discount or a refund on a proportion of the fee if you pay in a set amount each month, but this varies between suppliers.

Is there a minimum term?
Six-month minimum term. We do not have a minimum term, be covered with us for however long you need.
What about excess?
£29 for mobile phone screen repairs, £49 for mobile phone or gadget repairs and £99 for mobile phone or gadget replacement. We provide flexible excesses for our mobile phone policies and our gadget insurance excesses are based on the amount of your device.
How old can my device be? Devices need to be less than 5 years old to be eligible for cover. Devices need to be less than 3 years old to be eligible for cover.
