Xbox One Gaming Headset Promises ‘Audiophile-Grade’ Sound Quality

American speaker company Polk Audio is set to make miscommunication between online players a thing of the past. Launched on October 16th, their newly-unveiled Striker ZX headset promises ‘audiophile-grade’ sound quality that will make even the most complex of battle scenes feel as if it’s happening inside the room.

Retailing at $90 through American chain Best Buy or the Polk Audio website, the Striker ZX uses proprietary technology to ensure that emitted sounds cover a wider frequency. A ‘chat loop’ feature allows other players’ voices to come from the headset rather than the TV, with wireless options available via the custom-made adapter. Available in black, orange and blue, it’s set to be popular with fans of first-person shooters, role-players or alternate reality gamers.

With 40 years of experience in the audio industry, the Striker ZX is Polk Audio’s second headset. Similar to the previous model, Striker 1, and their wider headphone range, this new model will feature a lightweight moulded headband and pivoting ear cups to ensure user comfort.
