When will the Google Pixel 5a 5G phone be released?

Exciting news! Google has confirmed that the Google Pixel 5a with 5G phone will arrive on August 26th.

What specs can we expect from the Pixel 5a 5G?

Brian Rakowski, VP, Product Management for Google says the specs that we can expect from the new phone are:

• 128 GB of internal storage
• 6GB RAM
• High-performing dual-camera system, with a rear-facing ultrawide lens
• IP67 water and dust resistance (see what this means here)
• 'Nonstop' entertainment with 5G
• Pixel 5a with 5G has a Snapdragon® 765G 5G Mobile Platform
• Titan M security module for on-device security

How much will the Pixel 5a 5G phone cost?

The first mid-range phone from Google was the Google Pixel 3a and these were released at £399, with the Google Pixel 4a being released at a lower price of £349. Google have recently confirmed that the new Google Pixel 5a 5G phone will be available to pre-order for $449* (roughly £365).

What will the Pixel 5a 5G phone look like?

Android Authority suggests “that the Pixel 5a could be a near-clone of the Pixel 4a 5G, the renders suggests that the new Pixel 5a…” Meaning that we could see a repeat of the same design elements such as the fingerprint sensor remaining on the rear of the phone, the ‘punch hole ‘camera may remain in the top left hand corner and will probably have a dual-lens rear camera, just as the Pixel 4a 5G and the Google Pixel 5 have.

Google pixel 5a 5G colours:

Google have confirmed that the Pixel 5a colour will be Mostly Black, with forest green undertones and an olive-coloured Power button. They also offer a new Pixel case in four different colours: Black Moss, Maybe Moon, Likely Lime and Partially Pink.

Google Pixel 5a will have 6GB Ram vas the Google Pixel 5s 8GB, however both phones have 128 GB storage and Dual SIM. Google Pixel 5 display is 6.0” Full HD+ OLED and the Pixel 5a 5G phone has a 6.34” Full HD+ OLED display.
