When Apple launched the Apple iPad it took the Tablet PC market by storm. Before long many other manufacturers were rushing to get a Tablet of their own in the shops to compete with Apple.

There are now loads of Tablets on the market including the Archos 101, the Commtiva n700, the Dell Streak, the Next Tablet 10-inch, the Novatech nTablet, the Samsung Galaxy Tab, the Toshiba Folio 100, the Viewsonic ViewPad 10 and the much anticipated Blackberry Playbook plus many more not listed here.

Apple have reacted to this torrent of competition and there are now 6 different models of the Apple iPad 2. The WiFi 16gb at £399, the WiFi 32gb at £479, the WiFi 64gb at £559. The 3G 16gb at £499, the 3G 32gb at £579 and the 3G 64gb at £659 (prices taken from the Apple Website, May 2011).

As you can see these Tablet PCs are expensive, designed to be taken out of the house and/or office and are smaller and lighter than ever before. Unfortunately this makes them rich pickings for potential thieves so insurance is well worth considering.
