Nokia 8 review
The brand new phone from Nokia, the Nokia 8 will be available to buy in the UK from September. Fans of Nokia, once the market leader, have high hopes of the new model as the Nokia 8 will be competing with other top end handsets. The Nokia 3, 5 and 6 were budget handsets so this new launch is a big step for HMD the company that now own the Nokia brand.
The price point is 599 euros so that should be about £549. For that £549 customers will get a smartphone with 3 cameras, 2 on the back and 1 on the front. Nokia have teamed up with a company called Zeiss to produce these cameras and all 3 are 13 megapixels. Nokia are talking about something they call ‘Bothie’, this is where the phone takes a picture with the front and rear cameras at the same time. Sounds like a bit of a gimic but who knows.
The phone comes with a 5.3-inch display, it has an aluminium back and comes in both matt and glossy colours. It also has a liquid cooling copper pipe system and a graphite heat shield to keep both phone and user from over heating.
For a more comprehensive review, the website Pocket-lint have produced a pretty good one.
