Xbox One November System Update Revealed

Microsoft has outlined the list of Xbox One November updates, which will see a wealth of new customisability options added to user profiles, as well as some new games.

Xbox One owners will now be able to select a custom colour or unlocked achievement art as their console background. Updates to the Xbox media player will also open up a large range of art that users can pick and choose from as they please, encouraging a more creative community hub.

Fans of Twitter will be pleased to hear of the new social media interactivity; with the ability to host six game clips or achievements in your profile page ‘showcase’, these clips can now be tweeted from the console itself. A ‘What’s On’ section has been added to the dashboard, which will display popular YouTube videos, movies and Twitch broadcasts, indicating which are trending on Twitter and within the Xbox community.

This announcement joins the release statement of a new instalment of Minecraft, which hosts a world 36 times bigger than previously available on the Xbox 360. While rumours of a Grand Theft Auto V release have been rife, its developer Rockstar Games has warned fans to ignore any beta invitations, citing them as online phishing scams that have not been officially approved.

All updates are set to come into play in early to mid-November, with Minecraft having its physical release on November 21st.
