Vodafone to cut 375 jobs
Vodafone are to cut 375 jobs from back office functions beginning this month, however they have said they will increase the customer facing employees by 170.
They will also be employing 50 to join its graduate scheme from the 3,000 who have applied to the company.
The loss will come from various locations but it is a fair bet that a number of these will come from the head office in Newbury, Berkshire.
Until the site opened just to the north of the town Vodafone had numerous offices dotted around Newbury and London. The offices are state of the art and enjoy fantastic links by road being next to the M4 going towards London in the east and Bristol and Wales to the west and the A34 that goes towards Oxford and Birmingham to the north and Portsmouth and Southampton in the south.
