Rivals line up to launch Tablet competitors to the iPad
The competition in the PC tablet market is hotting up, it is rumoured that Noika, Microsoft, Google, acer, Toshiba, HP and AsusTek are all lining up to launch a Tablet device as fast as they can.
The iPad has hit a few problems since launch mainly due to the poor connectivity to wireless services and the device crashing when iPhone applications are downloaded to it.
Toshiba is expected to launch two Tablet devices, one intended for the high end user which would be a Windows Tablet and the lower end user version which would be an Android version.
HP are looking to launch a tablet which has Flash, Air support, a camera and speakers and a mic so users can talk on Skype. All these features are missing from the iPad.
Acer amd AsusTek are expected to reveal a tablet at the Computex Show in early June.
One possible impact of increased Tablet sales is the suddent reduction in sales of Laptops and Netbooks but we’re not convinced yet that iPads can fully replace a laptop.
Finally a company in Germany - Neofonie has unveiled the WePad, it has an 11.6 inch touchscreen whcih is high definition which they hope to launch in August priced between 450 - 570 Euros.
