The union is now seeking to renegotiate with the company’s management and re-open talks. If O2 management refuse then the Union could call for industrial action. This would be a big embarrassment and inconvenience for O2. It is not yet clear what industrial action would mean in reality in terms of the length of dispute but no doubt customers would be frustrated with calls going unanswered etc.

Tesco going for Mobile Phone Store Manager title

July 5th, 2010

Tesco mobile phone store managers are putting themselves forward for the Mobile Phone Store Manager of the Year competition for the first time this year. This follows the entry of Tesco staff in the Shop Idol 2010 competition earlier this year.

This shows the supermarket’s increasing confidence and presence on the high street, which is seeing it become a real challenger to the traditional chains in mobile phone retailing such as The Carphone Warehouse and Phones 4U.

Tesco outlined the company’s ambitious plans earlier this year. A spokesman said the company plans to open a Tesco Mobile Phone Shop on every high street.

Tesco already has over 100 specialist Mobile Phone Shops in the UK and is looking to open three phone stores a week to deliver at least 100 a year. Its MVNO, Tesco Mobile, now has more than two million customers.

This is good news for customers and no matter where you buy your mobile phone from here at www.insurance2go.co.uk we always recommend customers shop around for their mobile phone insurance. You don’t have to take the insurance offered at point of sale and you will find much better deals online. Why not google ‘mobile phone insurance’ and see what comes up.
