Orange and T-Mobile merger could result in loss of jobs
The proposed merger between Orange and T-Mobile, that was given the green light earlier this week, could cost up to 4,000 jobs analysts have said.
The group will look to make significant savings of up to £3.5 billion when the merger takes place which could result in significant job losses at a very difficult time in the employment market.
The merger will result in a mobile phone operator with a massive 37% share of the UK market. The companies had to concede some bandwidth capacity to the other operators to get the merger through, despite this there are concerns that the size of the network will not be good for the consumer and competition in the UK market.
