Ofcom Report
The latest annual report from Ofcom shows that there are 74 million mobile connections serving a population of 60 million in the UK. The average user sent 67 texts per month, just under 60 billion texts were sent on 2007 compared with 17 billion in 2002.
There has been a surge in the sales of mobile laptop connections - between Feb - June 2008 dongle sales lept from 68,000 to 133,000 per month. In that period there were 511,000 new mobile broadband connections.
Last year the average household spent £93.63 on comunications per month, a drop of £1.53 from the monthly amount in 2006.
